Attention girls soccer players in grades 9-12…Looking for a way to prepare for the upcoming high school season? TNT West soccer club is sponsoring a girls pre-season clinic with trainers Adam Mena and Brent Wyckoff. Click the flier below to download it.

Winter 2019 Skills Academy
UPDATE 12/18: There are no more slots available for the U9-U12 age bracket. But there is still space for U13-U16.
TNT West is excited to offer an 8 session winter indoor skills academy that focuses on individual ball control skills. This will be an excellent way to keep sharp and develop over those long winter months. Skills training offers far more value in terms of potential for growth and the number of touches on the ball when compared to short indoor session.

Fall 2018 Training Events
TNT West is excited to offer several additional training opportunities this fall under the direction of TNT Staff Coach Adam Mena.
Youth Technical Development Academy
This 8 session offering is for U6 and U8 (birth Year 2011-2013) players who desire an opportunity to develop ball control and overall technical skill.
TNT West is also offering “3C” training with Coach Mena. This is for all players who are desire an intense focus on developing Control, Confidence, and Creativity on the ball. Specific age groups are being offered on Wednesday nights (see flier).
TNT West will also offer specialized goalkeeper training under the direction of Coach Erica Potter on Wednesday nights. There will be no additional cost for current TNT West goalkeepers. Non-TNT players can register at Helder Park. Coach Erica possesses her NSCAA Goalkeeper Level I license.

Adam Mena new staff coach for TNT West
TNT West has added Adam Mena to its coaching staff for the 2018-2019 season. Adam will serve as a staff coach specializing in technical direction. He will be in charge of training opportunities that include a pre-season mini camp in August, winter skills training, a high school girls pre-season camp in March, and specialized sessions with TNT team throughout the fall season.
Mena, 28, joins TNT West after playing professionally with the USL’s Charleston Battery. The Holland, Mich., native made 13 appearances with the Battery during the 2014 campaign, coming on as a substitute in their Quarterfinal match against the Richmond Kickers.
Vancouver’s first choice, 10th overall, in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft, Mena spent five seasons with the University of Notre Dame from 2008-12. The 5-foot-10, 145-pound midfielder recorded six goals and five assists in 55 appearances with the Fighting Irish, including three game-winning goals over a two-year span. In addition to his on-field duties, Mena received the program’s Rockne Scholar-Athlete Award in 2010-11 and was a three-time Big East Academic All-Star.
During his time with the Fighting Irish, Mena also competed in the PDL with the West Michigan Edge (2008), Kalamazoo Outrage (2009) and Indiana Invaders (2009-11). After his final season with the Invaders, Mena was selected to the PDL All-Central Conference Team.
Prior to his collegiate career, Mena started three seasons at West Ottawa High School, where he was coached as a freshman by TNT West Director of Coaching Larry De Leon. His 66 career goals remains a school record. Mena was a two-time First-Team All-State honoree while with the Panthers.
